One day, John and Mary met at the park after school. It was a sunny afternoon, and they decided to have a friendly chat while enjoying the fresh air.

John: Hi, Mary! How was your day?

Mary: Hey, John! My day was great, thanks for asking. I finished my math homework pretty quickly today, so I had more time to read my favorite book. What about you?

John: That sounds nice. I also did my homework early, but then I played basketball with some friends. It was fun, but I think I need more practice.

Mary: Haha, basketball can be tough! But it’s good exercise. By the way, do you know if there’s a basketball game coming up at our school?

John: Yes, there is! It’s next Friday. Are you interested in coming to watch?

Mary: Of course! I love watching sports. Maybe we can sit together.

John: Great idea! We can bring some snacks too. Do you like popcorn?

Mary: Popcorn sounds perfect. Oh, speaking of snacks, did you hear about the new café that opened near the library? They have really good coffee and pastries.

John: No, I didn’t know that. I’ll have to check it out sometime. Maybe this weekend?

Mary: Sounds like a plan. We could study there together—it’s quieter than the cafeteria.

John: That works for me. And who knows, maybe we’ll even discover some hidden talents for baking or barista skills!

Mary: (laughs) You never know until you try. Anyway, it looks like it’s getting late. I should head home soon.

John: Okay, me too. See you tomorrow at school?

Mary: Definitely! Bye, John.

John: Bye, Mary. Have a good evening!

As they parted ways, both John and Mary felt happy about their conversation. Simple chats like these made their days brighter and strengthened their friendship.
